How To Use This Generator
- Enter the exact content the final code should contain.
- Open Advanced and choose an error correction level.
- Generate, export, and test the final code at its real size and on its real material.
Static QR Code Notes
This page generates a static QR code. That means the final payload is embedded directly into the QR, with no intermediate redirect service. The QR image will keep working as long as the encoded data remains valid.
The L, M, Q, and H tradeoff
The four levels add progressively more redundant information. Lower levels keep the symbol simpler; higher levels can tolerate more loss but may require a larger printed code for equally easy scanning.
Choose based on the complete design and environment, not the letter alone. Packaging, outdoor signs, labels, and clean digital screens have different risks.
Error correction does not replace good layout
Keep high contrast, preserve the quiet zone, use sharp artwork, and avoid placing logos or decorations over the code. A clean code at level M can outperform a badly designed code at level H.
FAQ
Which error correction level should I use?
M is a sensible general starting point. Consider Q or H for harsher physical conditions, but test because the extra redundancy makes the symbol denser.
Does error correction make any damaged QR code readable?
No. It improves tolerance within limits. Severe obstruction, poor contrast, blur, an inadequate quiet zone, or damage to critical areas can still prevent scanning.
